La Creu Square

You are in front of one of the most interesting and best conserved example of Altea building heritage. It is well built middle class house situated in what once were the limits of the urban center, as understood during the 19th century, It was built by D. Jaime Beneyto i Rostoll, probably between 1873 and 1875, placed opposite the Cross that points the end of the town where the Camí Real arrives and Orchard and Callosa paths begin. The house still preserves the flavour and keeps the character of the 19th century, which is getting rise on its road network layout.
